Running Shoe Recycle Program

The Running Shoe Recycle Program provides high quality, gently used running shoes to people who need a good pair of running shoes to support their efforts to be physically active.

This program is based on partnerships with runners who participate in our 5k Run as well as a local running store, the Running Works. Competitive runners typically buy new running shoes every few months. While these used running shoes are no longer suitable for training, they still have many miles of life left in them.

We collect shoes in all men's and women's adult sizes.  Running shoes are washed and fitted with new insoles prior to distribution.

Donated shoes can be dropped off at our downtown location. When donating shoes please remember that shoes should be good quality (e.g. Saucony, New Balance, Asics, etc.) and should be in good condition (i.e. no holes and not very dirty). Also, if you wear orthotics please bring us your unused insoles.

If you are interested in getting a pair of running shoes, or for more information, please call (519) 821-6638 or email info@guelphchc.ca.
