WHY PARTICIPATE AND RAISE PLEDGES?

Proceeds from this event support the Ontario Early Years Centre (OEYC) of Guelph CHC.   OEYC programs support the healthy development of children from birth to age six; a time that is critical to life long health and well being.

Last year we served over 6,500 parents and 7,000 children.

Government funding does not cover all program costs and Guelph CHC relies on fundraising like the 5k Run to supplement this.

Last year the 5k Run raised over $16,000 - this year we are hoping to raise $20,000!

RUNNER'S REGISTRATION

Early Registration on or before Saturday September 18th.  

Regular entries are from September 19th until race day.

TEAM REGISTRATION

All team entries must be submitted TOGETHER on or before September 18th. 

There will be no race day entries for teams.

‘FUN' WALK REGISTRATION

Early Registration  are received on or before Saturday September 18th.  

Regular entries are considered from September 19th until race day.

‘Fun' Walk Participants will not receive a chip - therefore their times will not be recorded. 

Walk participants are eligible for door prizes! 

Children 5 & Under are FREE!

HOW TO REGISTER

RACE PACKET PICK-UP

Early Registration: Packets available at the Running Works (33 Quebec St.) from September 20th - 24th, or at City Hall on September 25th.

Registration after the 18th: At the Running Works (33 Quebec St.) packets will be ready for pick up at the same time.

Race Day Registration: At City Hall between 7:30 and 8:30 am.

1st - 3rd Overall Male & Female: $75, $50, $25 each

Age Categories - Male & Female - 1st - 3rd in each: 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

TOP INDIVIDUAL PLEDGE EARNER:  A $250 Gift Certificate to spend anywhere in Downtown Guelph

RAISE $100 IN PLEDGES = FREE RACE ENTRY

Many exciting draw prizes to be RANDOMLY drawn after the event.  You have to be present to win!

RUNNING SHOE RECYCLE PROGRAM

Donate gently used running shoes to people who need a pair to support their efforts to be physically active.  A drop box will be available at the run!

DIRECTIONS TO PARKING

The best options for parking are on Baker Street, or the East or West Parkade (#4, 6, & 7 on city parking map)  There is a $2 fee for parking at all locations.  Meter parking is free for 2 hours only.

From East of Guelph: Exit 401 at Brock Rd. S. (Hwy 6 S). Travel North on Brock Rd. into downtown Guelph and turn RIGHT on Quebec St., then LEFT on Baker St. for parking.

From West of Guelph: Exit 401 at Hwy 6 North. Drive North on Hwy 6, exit at Wellington Rd. E. Turn LEFT on Gordon St., then RIGHT at Quebec St., and LEFT onto Baker St. for parking.
