Ontario Community Health Centres
Guelph CHC is a member of the Association of Ontario Health Centres (AOHC).

The AOHC represents and supports community health centres in Ontario in addition to aboriginal health access centres and other non-profit, community-governed, interdisciplinary primary health care organizations.
The AOHC is particularly focused on addressing challenges that may impact on health such as unemployment, homelessness and poverty. The AOHC believes that comprehensive and community-driven primary health care, illness prevention and health promotion are all necessary components of healthy communities. Health centres associated with the AOHC are key providers of health services that reflect the needs of their communities.
By 2009, a total of 110 Ontario communities will enjoy the benefits of their own community health centres, tailored to their specific community needs. In fact, during the next few years, the number of clients receiving primary health care services at community health centres is expected to almost double.
